A bookbinder who restores other people's treasures is taken captive and traded to an immortal race forged by the gods for war, alongside a fallen general who becomes her only chance at survival. In return, she must retrieve and restore an ancient book made of living magic, powerful enough to stop evil--or unleash it. As their enemies close in and buried memories resurface, they must decide what they’re willing to sacrifice: freedom, fragile trust…or the spark that could ignite the world.
