The library accepts direct financial contributions toward programs, furniture, equipment, or library materials. This is also a great way to celebrate a family occasion and memorialize friends and loved ones.
The Friends of the Reading Public Library is a separate, non-profit 501 (c)(3) charitable organization dedicated to enhancing library services by funding programs for all ages and selected museum passes.
The Reading Public Library Foundation is a 501(c)3 charitable organization focused on expanding, an endowment that will provide a long term, sustained source of supplemental funds for the Library.
We welcome volunteer applications all year long and will contact you when we can match you with a project that matches your skill set. Some examples of work by our current volunteers include delivering materials to home-bound patrons, assisting with program setup, indexing local newspapers, and scanning documents for archives.
Please note that the Town of Reading performs CORI checks on employees and volunteers who work at the Library.
