Meet at the Town Forest to celebrate Arbor Day by planting a tree (or two, or three).
The Reading Public Library, Town Forest Committee, Department of Public Works and Scout Troop 702 have a goal of planting 500 trees this year and we need your help!
This will take place at the Town Forest with parking at the Compost Center on Strout Avenue. Participants will walk the trails to the planting area and get directions and supplies from the volunteer there.
Please choose the shift that works best for you and register through that calendar entry to help simplify parking.
This program is supported by grant funds from the Institute of Museum and Library Services as administered by the Massachusetts Board of Library Commissioners.
We strive to host inclusive, accessible events that enable all individuals to engage fully. To ask questions about accessibility or request accommodations, please contact the library at rdgadmin@noblenet.org.
If the Reading Public schools are closed due to snow, all Children's programming will be canceled.
