Rise Up! Powerful Protests in American History by Rachel C. Katz and illustrated by Sophie Bass covers 25 moments of resistance and revolution throughout American history. Rise Up! celebrates the 250th anniversary of America by teaching kids their civic responsibility to challenge tradition and make a change.
We'll take a look at some of the revolutionary moments highlighted in the book, think about what goes into making a protest sign, and make some of our own!
3 copies of Rise Up! will be raffled off at the event.
Your Voice, Your Choice is apart of our yearlong Reading is Revolutionary initiative.
