Join us for a live virtual talk with Salvadorian poet, activist, and author Javier Zamora.
Join us for a live virtual talk with Salvadorian poet, activist, and author Javier Zamora. At nine years old Zamora walked three thousand miles to cross the U.S. border with no guardian. At 29 he told the tale in his bestselling memoir, Solito. Javier retells his nine-week odyssey across Guatemala, Mexico, and eventually through the Sonoran Desert. He traveled by boat, bus, and foot. After a coyote abandoned his group in Oaxaca, Javier managed to make it to Arizona with the aid of other migrants.
