Mental Health First Aid for Adults is a skills-based training that teaches people how to identify, understand, and respond to signs and symptoms of a mental health or substance use challenge. First Aiders will learn how to help in crisis and non-crisis situations and understand where to turn for additional assistance.
The course will be taught by Taunya L. Jarzyniecki, a Credentialed Instructor at the National Council on Mental Wellbeing and the Reading Public Safety Clinician. Participants must attend all four sessions on Tuesdays, March 24, March 31, April 7, and April 14 from 5:00 to 7:30pm in the conference room at the Reading Public Library to become certified as a First Aider. Should you need to miss a class, there is a makeup day of 04/21, 5:00-7:30pm in the Studio.
