How do you want to be remembered?
Join writer Margo Steiner for a unique two part program and learn about the history of obituaries and what makes a great one. By the end of the two classes, everyone will leave with an understanding of how to write a personalized and informative obituary.
The first workshop will cover a variety of topics including our changing views of death, the history of obituary, and the changing ways deaths are reported with the advent of social media and the internet. We will also cover the various kinds of obituaries and what the key elements of an obituary are.
In the second workshop participants will bring a pre-written draft of their own (or someone else's) obituary which will be shared and discussed among the group.
Patrons must register and attend both sessions.
