Come to read in community, stay to talk about your title!

Come join the fun for our July silent reading party! The concept is simple: 

  1. Come to the library with whatever book you're currently enjoying.
  2. Read it in silence,  in the company of other Reading readers.
  3. Gather in the Community Room to enjoy refreshments and talk with others about the your book(s).

All books, new or old, finished or newly opened, are welcome. Bring a folding chair to read outside on the lawn or grab a seat inside the library.

Recommended reads will become a "Patron Summer Picks" list to share with the community.

Attendees will be entered into a raffle for a summer camp-themed giveaway, and an extra entry into summer reading program prize raffles for gift cards to local businesses.

This program is generously supported by The Friends of the Reading Public Library.
