II. Getting Framed
In the second workshop, we open with an exploration of participants’ responses to the homework assignment, and the questions that arise from them: What clicked for you? What did you find challenging about the prompts? Were you able to make up your own? What inspires you? Where do the best ideas come from, and how can you put them into action? What could be chosen as a main cartoon character or “spokesperson” for you– another human? An animal? An object? What are the simplest characters to create and be able to repetitively recreate?
This workshop series is made possible through the generous support of The Friends of the Reading Public Library .
Please Note: A basic level of comfort and competence with drawing techniques is required for participation; these classes are NOT drawing classes. In the interests of maintaining harmonious good will in the classroom, we will not engage with divisive work concerning religious topics or current political subjects.
