The United States turns 250 years old this summer with the anniversary of the Declaration of Independence and the Revolutionary War occurring. We wanted our Summer Reading theme to reflect that monumental occasion while also celebrating how the written word played a large part in it.
Reading Is Revolutionary is for kids ages 6 and up, teens, and adults. You can sign up online and pick up your booklet in-person starting June 22. Learn more about what the program is below.

Pick up a challenge booklet at the library any time on or after June 22.
Booklets contain 12 reading challenges. Complete the challenges, have your booklet stamped at the library as you go, and earn prizes along the way!
4 stamps: RiR notebook or RiR sunglasses
8 stamps: RiR flashlight/fan gadget
12 stamps: RiR tote bag or RiR stuffed animal
Any time! You can check in as you complete each task or when you're ready to receive a prize (every 4 stamps/challenges). You do not have to do the challenges in order, and we encourage you to take your time with it. The final day to check in for Summer Reading is August 10.
You can sign up in advance via these links or in person at the Research and Reader Services Desk, the Teen Desk, or the Children's Desk. Every participant must individually sign up even if completing the tasks as a family.
