Join us for an author event with Robert J. Ainsworth as he discusses his most recent mystery book, Duped, about the Isabella Stewart Gardner Heist, featuring gumshoe Harry Bartlett.
Join us for this author event, featuring Robert J. Ainsworth, and focusing on the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum Heist. A retired CPA who worked in corporate accounting as a CFO and Controller while also teaching accounting, Bob was inspired by his students' positive reaction to anecdotes about fraud, creating a series of Massachusetts-based mysteries whose gumshoe, Harry Bartlett, is a fraud investigator. The second book in his series, Duped, centers on Bartlett's efforts to beat a ransom deadline and find the Gardner art. This talk will review the actual details of the theft, the suspects, and the motives behind the world's most valued art theft. He will also tell of his own brush with the infamous crime. Mr. Ainsworth's books will be available for purchase and signature.
